COURSE INFORMATION

Level-up your administration and management skills and gain the confidence to take on the fast-pace and challenging transport, warehousing and logistics industries with the TLI30319 Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations.

 

The transport, postal and warehousing sector is a vital part of the Australian economy and is an essential part of everyday living. Working within this industry allows you to apply a variety of skills across a range of career pathways.

 

This sector is projected to grow by 4.3 percent by May 2023. Employment growth within this industry is fuelled by the dramatic shift to online shopping and distribution, plus the exponential development in the road transport sector.

 

Upon completion of this qualification, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skillset to bolster this essential sector of the Australian workforce, while also being able to work across various areas and help others with behind the scenes work that will be worthwhile.

 

With this qualification you will learn the fundamental and essential skills in supply chain operations and includes specialisations for logistics and warehousing operations.

 

This nationally accredited qualification provides the foundations required to upskill and pursue further course studies in the warehousing and logistics industry or go on to university.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Successful completion of this qualification may lead to employment as a:

  • Warehouse Operator
    Manage the supply chain process, monitor all shipping, receiving and inventory operations and ensure safety regulations are implemented within an organisation.
  • Logistics Officer
    Monitoring all supply chain procedures to ensure activities are run efficiently, including the supply, transport, storage and/or distribution, in a timely manner and according to safety guidelines.
  • Supply Chain Administration Officer
    Provide administrative support to an organisation by monitoring the smooth-running of the supply chain department in which roles may include ordering stock to fulfil customer demand, maintaining service levels and helping the company to achieve it’s objectives and KPIs.

STUDY MODE

The study mode available is a traineeship.

COURSE DURATION

Traineeship: A full time course runs for 12 months. A part time course runs for 24 months.

LOCATION

Practical workplace placement at one of our partnering employer locations, with continuous guidance and support from The Learning Collaborative trainers and assessors.

 

This course is also delivered by approved Third Parties, who are conveniently located throughout south-east Queensland. It is the responsibility of the approved Third Parties to recruit, enrol, support, train and assess students undertaking this course. The Learning Collaborative, in consultation with the approved Third Parties, is responsible for support and certification of all students enrolled in this course.

This qualification contains 14 units. These units are made up of 2 core units plus 4 units from one of the specialist electives listed below and 8 general elective units.

CORE UNITS

  • TLID1001 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods.
  • TLIF0009 Ensure the safety of transport activities (Chain of Responsibility).

  • TLIE3002 Estimate/calculate mass, area and quantify dimensions.
  • TLIH2001 Interpret road maps and navigate pre-determined routes.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. However, students may be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment to determine any learner support requirements.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

If students hold prior relevant work experience or formal qualifications issued by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), these may count as credit towards specific units. Please contact us for more information regarding eligibility or applications for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
