JOEL RAPANA

Growing up, Joel was thrusted into sport at an early age. Being one of the oldest of ten children, his parents thought it necessary that everyone played a team sport and did year-round extra-curricular activities to stay occupied.

Joel’s family moved to Australia when he was 12 years old, where sport was his earliest comfort. At the age of 16, he completed a school-based traineeship in Sport and Recreation. This allowed Joel to learn about sports development and administration, in particular with rugby league.

He went on to play footy professionally, but eventually retired on the Gold Coast. It was then that Joel pursued a career in training and assessment, which enables him to inspire, uplift and educate the next batch of rising young talent.

Joel is passionate about health, fitness and sport, and he loves instilling in others the skills, courage and confidence to go out and be successful. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Get in touch with Joel today, and let him guide you in the right direction for a successful career in the sport and recreation sector.

JEROME DE THIERRY

Growing up in New Zealand, sports was life! For our trainer Jerome, if he wasn’t training for his club or school, he was honing his skills at the local park with neighbours and family. Growing up in a community where everyone is related, he learnt skills from observing the talent that came from Uncles, Aunties and older cousins.

Jerome’s family moved to Australia when he was 15 years old and he took advantage of all that the beautiful weather Queensland had to offer. Competing in a variety of sports from Rugby League, Rugby Union and Touch to Oz tag, Basketball and Volleyball, Jerome’s love of sport continues into his adult life.

After spending over 10 years in Warehousing and Supply Chain Management, Jerome found his calling in Training and Assessment as he looks to help the next generation to catch a vision of their potential and help them to become the best version of themselves.

“As a teenager, I thought I was only going to be good at manual labour jobs. But a mentor of mine gave me a vision of what is possible and that I could do more if I put in the effort. My hope is that with the skills and knowledge of have learnt and developed, I can provide that same vision to the students that I train.”

Get in touch with Jerome today, and let him guide you in the right direction for a successful career in the sport and recreation sector.
