COURSE INFORMATION

THIS UNIT PROVIDES PARTICIPANTS WITH THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO PERFORM CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) IN A RANGE OF SITUATIONS, INCLUDING COMMUNITY AND WORKPLACE SETTINGS.

Learners that hold a current first aid certificate (up to 3 years old) are required to update their CPR qualification every 12 months.

 

Learners will learn how to manage unconscious casualties, provide CPR, and use an AED (Defibrillator).

 

Learners must be able to complete at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR performed on an adult manikin placed on the floor to gain competency in this course.

 

These skills are in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

LOCATION

This unit is delivered onsite or alternatively, we also have a practical training facility at The Club, Parkwood.

ASSESSMENT

This unit will be assessed using practical skills observations.
